The vision of the LMU-SMS Knoxville PA program is to develop Physician Assistants whose consistent professionalism and commitment to excellence elevate patient care and advance the profession.
Mission
The mission of the LMU–SMS Knoxville PA Program is to educate future Physician Assistants to provide high-quality patient-centered care in the Appalachian region and beyond through a rigorous educational experience, with expanded training in surgical sciences; supporting each student’s academic success and professional development.
To accomplish this mission, the LMU-SMS Knoxville PA Program is committed to achieving the following goals:
- Support student success in the program,
- Prepare graduates for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination,
- Prepare students for surgical Supervised Clinical Practice Experiences (SCPEs), and
- Foster an atmosphere of community, support, and mutual respect for all students, faculty, and staff.
